C-167, C.L., Joseph Block Tiss Hazari Court, Tis Hazari Court, Delhi – 110054, Near Isbt Delhi
1st july 2019 to 30th july 2019 (one month)
9:30 AM to 5;30pm (for girls)
No out time for boys, one has to wait till associates are there in the office. (If one has to leave before the stipulated time, an application has to be given to your internship supervisor).
The office is very near to Tis hazari metro station and the chamber is near to gate no, 1&5 of tis hazari courts
On the first day of my internship, I reached quite early and waited for 30-40 minutes in the chamber. Then 2 of the associates came and a 5 minutes introduction was done between my co intern and other associates.
Then they asked me to go to family court in Tis hazari courts and check for the listing of matter and report it to the associate.
The chamber has good infrastructure with a decent library, Xerox machines, , high-speed internet and access to SCC & Manupatra which makes your research work effective and efficient.
Interns were required to assist different associates on the going on cases.
Interns are also required to report to different district courts in Delhi and also to the High Court and Supreme Court and check and make a note of important dates and points said in the court. Associates sometimes also allow you to take Passover and adjournments in their case.
Interns were also given work like- application and collection of certified order, compilation and typing of some orders.
The work environment is bit relaxed, but Anuj sir and other staff is highly discipline and require you to be on time and be in discipline in court proceedings.
The best thing for all the intern was the privilege to attend court proceedings with Anuj sir and other associates
No such bad things
No stipend was given as I was a fresher
8.5/10
Though it is an opportunity one should not miss, but one should not have high expectations out of it, especially with respect to post-law school job prospects, or a PPO.
In your leisure time you can go to the court canteen and eat or chitchat, you can order tea in the chamber itself and other snacks too.
